Toland-Herzig Acquires Former ''Friendly's'' Property

The Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes of Dover and Strasburg have acquired the former "Friendly's" restaurant property, located at 831 Boulevard, Dover. "We are extremely excited to have been able to acquire the building," said John Herzig, president of Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes. "The location is outstanding, and after we are done renovating, we will be able to provide an even higher level of service to area families. The possibilities are endless."
The building will be a multi-functional facility, with the flexibility of handling groups ranging from 10-200 people at any given time. With a full service kitchen, banquet, and conference capabilities in mind, the building is currently being redesigned and renovated to best handle the variety of needs that it will facilitate. "This facility will mean so much more than us just meeting the desire of families to gather for meals after funeral services," said Herzig. "The center will be also able to house all of our bereavement service activities and support groups, it will be the home for our annual grief seminar and professional workshop, and it will be made available to area groups and businesses for their meeting and conference needs. The site also has the potential to be an important part of our funeral pre-planning program." |
