Delcoma Receives Distinctive Honor, Certification

 John Delcoma, Director of Pre-Planning for Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes of Dover and Strasburg, has received the distinction of the title Certified Preplanning Consultant (CPC). The certification is presented by the Funeral Service Education Foundation, the education division of the National Funeral Directors Association. In being so honored, Delcoma has become one of only 225 CPC’s in the United States. According to Colleen Murphy Klein, Education Coordinator for the FSEF, the CPC is, “…the only national certification program for pre-planning consultants. Our CPC recipients are schooled extensively in the areas of ethics and customer service.”
Other areas of study included Preplanning and Funding Principals, Refining Communication Skills, Preplanning Marketing Principals, and Creating Meaningful Ceremonies.
Delcoma took the CPC exam July 15 at the FSEF’s training program in Las Vegas, NV.
