Trimmer attends NFDA Leadership Conference

 Dennis Trimmer, Jr., of Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes of Dover and Strasburg, has recently returned from the National Funeral Directors Association Leadership Conference at Vail, Colorado.
The four-day conference invited state funeral director association leaders from around the country, as well as those who are active in the NFDA or trade associations such as the International Order of Golden Rule, of which Toland-Herzig is a member.
Topics and speakers for the program included: Progress updates on the NFDA's ''Celebration of Freedom'' program which is raising funds for the World War II Memorial, studies on consumer attitudes toward memorialization, managing conflict, mastering the media, and a panel of representatives from the Federal Trade Commission, OSHA & the EPA.
Trimmer was also nominated as a finalist for selection to NFDA's Education Committee. The Education Committee is responsible for recommending seminars, workshops and speakers for NFDA educational programming in conjunction with the NFDA Educational Foundation. The committee also monitors and implements strategic action plans for NFDA's education programming.
Final word on his selection to the committee is expected later this fall.
