Herzig participates in leadership program

 John R. Herzig, CFSP, President of the Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes in Dover, New Philadelphia and Strasburg, has recently completed the 2003 Funeral Service Business Institute’s “Owner and President Growth and Leadership Program.”
Herzig was selected to participate in the program along with a select group of other funeral service professionals from around the United States in an intensive three day learning environment.
Leading instructors from fields such as finance, hospitality management, funeral pre-planning and suppliers as well as suppliers from throughout the industry presented courses including: Finance and Operations Management, Leadership Strategies for Extraordinary Performance and Service, Operating Strategies for Multi-location Firms and Revolutionary Approaches in Funeral Pre-Planning.
The program was held September 4-7 at the Hotel InterContinental in Chicago, IL.
