Second Annual Kettles & Caring Open House

 In coordination with The Salvation Army, Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes & Crematory staff members will be ringing the bell at the familiar red kettle on Dec. 16 from 9 to 5 for the firm’s second annual “Kettles & Caring” open house in Toland-Herzig Monarch Center at 831 Blvd., Dover.
In addition to a person’s monetary contribution, the staff will organize food donations to help stock the Salvation Army food pantry. Toland-Herzig will have a variety of holiday-related materials available, including Todd Little’s “Little Words to Help You Through the Holidays” CD. Refreshments will be provided.
Little, the firm’s director of breavement services, said, “It seems to me that for a grieving person, a program like this affords the opportunity not only to help themselves by stopping in and talking with me about their loss and taking advantage of our materials and resources, but the opportunity to help others as well by making a cash donation or bringing food for the Salvation Army food pantry.”
