Edna C. Schaar

Edna C. Schaar, 89, of Dover died Friday, September 29, 2000 at the Rose Lane Health Center in Jackson Township following an extended illness.

She, along with her husband, were motor route carriers for the Times Reporter from 1972 to 1981.

Born July 15, 1911 in Dover she was a daughter of the late Lewis and Anna Cappel Lahmers.

She was a member of St. Johns United Church of Christ in Dover.

Edna was preceded in death by her husband Theodore Schaar who died on June 26, 1985.

She is survived by a daughter: Barbara and Tom Stien of Jackson Township.

Two sons: David and Jo Ann Schaar of Dover
Doyle and Mary Schaar of Bolivar

11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren

She was also preceded in death by three brothers: Carl, Clarence and Floyd Lahmers.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 2, 2000 at 10:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Rev. Steve Daniels officiating. Interment will be at Evergreen Burial Park in New Philadelphia. Friends may call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home on Sunday from 5-7 pm.
