Aden D. Miller, 72, of Dover, died Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2006, in his home,
following an apparent heart attack.
Born Aug. 10, 1934, in Charm, he was a son of the late David J. and Ada J. Miller Miller. Aden was a heavy equipment operator, having retired from the Belden Brick Co. For many years he was a vendor at the Garver Bros. Flea Market in Strasburg. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing. He had an appreciation for the Native Americans and their relics, and attended events at Flint Ridge. Sundays always found him playing cards with his buddies.
Survivors include eight children, Randy Lee (wife, Ida) Miller of Coshocton, Gerald Dean Miller of Killbuck, Aden Dennis Miller of Carlisle, PA, Ronald Ray Miller of Killbuck, Marsha Renee (husband, Steve) Arteaga
of Chatsworth, CA, Mary (husband, Bill) Alleshouse of Dover, Roy (wife, Michele) Randolph of Strasburg, and Vesta (husband, Tom) Haver of Dover; sixteen grandchildren, David Michael Stone, Cindy Rae Miller, Steven
Miller, David Aden Miller, Elizabeth Miller, Bobby Miller, Shannon Miller, Monica Alleshouse, Melani Alleshouse, Bart Randolph, Nathan Randolph, Melisa Haver, Walter Haver, Stephanie Haver, Larissa Arteaga and Spencer Arteaga; two-great-grandchildren, Taeshauna Alleshouse and Lydia Miller; a sister, Fannie Miller; three brothers, David Miller, Andrew Miller and
Emanuel Miller; many nieces and nephews; and his much-loved companion, his
dog, Muffin.
In addition to his parents, Aden was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Polen Miller, in 2001; a son, Donald Jay Miller; three sisters, Esther Yoder, Anna Yoder and Ada Schlabaugh; and by two brothers, Monroe Miller and Joseph Miller.
Aden�(TM)s life will be celebrated in a service Monday, Oct. 23, at 11 a.m., in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover. Burial will be in Ridgecrest Memory Gardens, Dover. Following the committal, there will be a reception in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center on the Boulevard in Dover.
