Adrienne Maye Berner

April 30, 1928 — May 17, 2014

Adrienne Maye Berner, 86, of Dover (Parral) passed into the loving arms of our Lord in the early morning of May 17, 2014 after a period of declining health in the care of Community Hospice of Tuscarawas County. Adrienne was born on April 30, 1928 in Millersburg, Ohio, daughter of the late Myron Quillin of Killbuck and Zella (Cutnaw) Quillin of Millersburg, and sister to the previously deceased James Quillin, Theorald Quillin, and Sherry Martin; survived by brother, Jack Quillin. Adrienne was a graduate of Killbuck High School and continued her education in cosmetology.

Adrienne married the love of her life on August 28, 1949 and joins her husband of 63 years in heaven. Together they co-founded Berner Trucking, where she worked as a secretary until her husband's retirement. Throughout their marriage they had three daughters and she was an active member of the PTA and the Band Boosters throughout their schooling. She was a very supportive and loving mother and was always praised for the delicious food she prepared and served with grace.

Adrienne was also the caretaker of her mother and sister, Sherry. She tenderly cared for both women in the their homes until their passing.

Adrienne's pride and joy arrived with the birth of her seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She is survived by Dean and Teresa (daughter) Peeler and their youngest son, Greg. Mark Peeler, their oldest son, sadly predeceased Adrienne. Also predeceased, daughter Cindy Knisely, divorced from James, was mother to Abigail and Blake Knisely. Blake and Charolette Knisely blessed Adrienne with three great grandchildren, Cadence, Charles and Annabeth. Further survived by John and Marsha (daughter) Antonucci and their three daughters listed with families; Curt and Jessica McCamom, parents of John, Caylah and Joseph, Jason and Stacey Edwards, parents of Jason Jr. and Owen, and Matt and Lauren Pannunzio, parents of Matt Jr. and Maximus. Additionally, Adrienne is survived by beloved son in law and president of Berner Trucking, James Knisely and wife Debbie.

Known as Gammy to her grandchildren, Adrienne was a devoted wife, loving mother, attentive grandmother, and loyal friend. She never missed a birthday and enjoyed giving gifts and doting over others. She adored her grandchildren greatly, babysat them often, and would endlessly play with them. Adrienne never missed an opportunity to gather with her loved ones for this was most important to her. She also delighted in traveling, boating and spending time with friends in Naples, Florida at The Hitching Post, where she and her husband wintered for the past 30 years. She was a true blessing to everyone she knew and will be missed by all.
