Agnes M. Seward, 94, of New Philadelphia passed away on Monday, April 3, 2023 at her home.
Born on September 9, 1928, in Dover, she was the daughter of the late G. Webster and Anna (Moser) Wertz.
On April 4, 1945, she married J. Robert Seward, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by four brothers; Laverne, Calvin, Gerald, and Glenn Wertz, and her son in-law, G. Larry Wallick.
Agnes was a cook at Reeves Hotel for over ten years. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in New Philadelphia. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends at the Senior Center.
She will be sadly missed by her three daughters; Linda (Andy) Yosick, Carol Wallick, and Diana (Gary) Fox all of New Philadelphia; her grandchildren, Mike (Kathryn) Ickes, Shelly Morvay, Tracie (Dave) Gaetano, Laurie (Eric) Stanbro, Vicki (Matthew) Guillemet, Todd Fox; great-grandchildren, Nathan (Hannah) Ickes, Matthew (Ana) Ickes, Noah Ickes, Sophia Morvay, Sierra Gaetano, Dominic Gaetano, Vanessa Stanbro, Cresa (Travis) Swauger, Brodie Bente, Katelyn (James) Adams, and Connor Fox; along with her sister, Maxine Rothacher.
Friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig. Funeral Home & Crematory of Dover on Friday, April 7, 2023, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. A service will be held on Friday at 11:00 am with Pastor Bob Eller officiating. Burial will take place at Ridgecrest Memory Gardens in Dover.
