Agostino (Augie) Leonardo Iannelli, 79, gave his last salute to this life on
July 12, 2006 in his home in Columbus, Ohio while surrounded by loved ones
and beautiful music.
Augie was born in Dover, Ohio on March 10, 1927 to the late Giuseppe and
Antoinette Campanielli Iannelli. He graduated from Dover High School in
1945 and served his country during World War II in the United States Navy as
an Aviator Machinist(TM)s Mate on the Aircraft Carrier, USS Barnes. Upon his
return home, he became co-owner of the Dover Pool Hall. He married Jeanne
Stewart and moved to Columbus to attend Ohio State University, where he
majored in Electrical Engineering.
A entrepreneur in life, Augie owned and operated Co-Op TV Sales, rental, and
repair shop in Columbus. As such, he was known as a pioneer in the
placement of TV(TM)s in hospital rooms. In addition to his other diverse
ventures in real estate and as a restauranteur, he also owned Mama Toni(TM)s
Pizzeria and the Top Hat Lounge.
His zest for life made him an unforgettable man. Those fortunate enough to
have known him enjoyed his wealth of knowledge and passion for cooking, wine
making, sports, music, cards, and billiards. Most of all, he enjoyed
spending time with family and friends. He was a member of St. Paul(TM)s Church
in Westerville.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Jenny
DiGiralamo, Olga Oddi, Alice DiGiralamo, and his brother, Carmen Iannelli.
He will be deeply missed by his daughter, Antoinette (Toni) Iannelli Neff,
son in law, Fred, grandson, Ricky and wife, Diana, granddaughters, Kristina
and Marcella Neff of New Philadelphia, sisters, Theresa Doriche of Dover,
Ohio and Mary Forsythe of Anaheim, California, many relatives, friends, and
