Alan H. Green

Alan H. Green, 81, of Canton passed away on Friday, December 24, 2021 in the Aultman Hospital at Canton.

Born on March 29, 1940 in Alameda, California he was a son of the late Herbert and Doris Gibson Green. Alan was also preceded in death by his sister, Diane Green. He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Joy Brobst Green whom he married on March 1, 2002; step-son, Shawn (Janine) Miller of Canton; step-grandchildren, Christian Miller, Havyn Jennings, Blaze Miller, Cash Miller; step-great grandchildren, Althea Rose, Kassidy Nora; brothers, David and Dennis Green both of California.

He retired from General Motors in Oklahoma after 35 years of service. Alan was a kind, generous and outgoing man who made friends easily. He and Joy loved traveling the United States in their motorhome the past 17 years, especially driving to Arizona during the winter months. In his younger days, Alan raised champion Quarter Horses where he won many awards throughout the years. Following their move to Canton, he enjoyed spending time with his family on their pontoon boat relaxing on Lake Cable.

Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover. There will be no calling hours or services.
