Albert E. Sankar
A committal service for the cremated remains of Albert E. Sankar, 83, of Dover, will be held Friday, Sept. 27, 2002, at 10 a.m., in Ridgecrest Memory Gardens. Fr. William L. Arnold of St. Joseph Church, Dover, will officiate. Military honors will be presented by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3463. Following the committal there will be a reception in the V.F.W., 220 W. Fourth St., Dover. Albert died June 20, 2002, at his home in Dover
He was born Feb. 9, 1919, in Highland Park, MI, a son of the late John and Anna Stular Sankar. Albert graduated high school and attended college in Michigan, and entered the U.S. Army, where he served honorably during World War II. He retired from the U.S. Chemical Co., Canton.
Albert was a member of the V.F.W., the Army-Navy Club and the Eagles, all of Dover, where he enjoyed playing Jass.
Survivors include a son, Edward (Delores) Sankar of Washington Twp., Macomb Co., MI; four grandchildren; and a brother, Leon (Renea) Sankar of Detroit, MI. A son, Phillip Sankar is deceased
