Aldin A. Diehl, 74, of Dover died Thursday, January 17, 2002 at Park Village Health Care Center following an extended illness.
He retired from Norfolk & Western Railroad after 44 years of service.
Born July 30, 1927 in Beach City he was a son of the late Albert and Carrie Steiner Diehl.
He was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Strasburg and the Brewster Moose Club. He enjoyed playing cards, marbles and guitar, riding his motorcycle, camping and fishing.
Aldin is survived by his five daughters: Joy Diehl of Dover
Vickie (Glenn) Seibert of Strasburg
Marlene Young of Vermilion
Debbie Blough of Massillon
Robin (Jeff) Nicewander of Bellevue
Special close friends: Amy Molle and Helen Gill both of Massillon
Sister: Rheta (Gary) Schering of Canton
6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren
Two sisters and one stepbrother also preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 21, 2002 at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Rev. Gerald Schuessler officiating. Interment will be at Union Lawn Cemetery in Navarre. Friends can call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm.
