Alice B. Seibert, 91, formerly of S. James St., Dover and also a former New Philadelphia resident died Sunday, March 24, 2002 in the Hennis Care Centre following an extended illness.
She was a former dental assistant.
Born October 1, 1910 in Saltsburg, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Merle J. and Ethel Mae George Fryer.
Alice was a member of the First Lutheran Church at Strasburg where she formerly taught Sunday school. She was devoted to her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard D. Seibert to whom she was married for 67 years. He died July 17, 1997.
She is survived by two daughters Patricia Bigler of Dover and Connie Jo (Allen) Archinal of New Philadelphia.
Six grandchildren Cheri Tarulli of Sherrodsville, Lynn Martin of Mt. Eaton, Tim “Jake” Bates of Columbia, William (Tonya) Bigler of Leavittsville, Traci (Doug) Roseberry and David Archinal both of New Philadelphia; 13 great grandchildren; Amber Anderson, Shawn Huff, Bambi Roseberry, Kaleigh Jo Archinal, Brooke Nicole Archinal, Robbie Slemmer, Andy Slemmer, Lee Slemmer, Kyle Martin, Amanda Bates, Jason Bates, Brandon and Justin Johnson. .
Four great grandchildren Cole, Dirk, Eric, Cheyenne Anderson along with her special friend and roommate Bonnie Haldeman and her friend Kymmie Roll of New Philadelphia.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Marilyn Bates, one brother, John Fryer, and her aunt, Grace Billingsley.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 27, 2002 at 10:30 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Dr. William Haggis officiating. A reception will follow in the First Lutheran Church at Strasburg. Interment will be in the East Avenue Cemetery at New Philadelphia. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday (today) from 6-8 pm.
