Alice F. Kieffer

Alice F. Kieffer, 65, of Bolivar passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Community Hospice following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on February 16, 1949 in Port Washington, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Minnie (Ankrom) Clum. On October 26, 1968, she married Vern Robert Kieffer Jr., who survives.

Alice was a homemaker. She loved playing cards, watching football, and baseball. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her brother; David Clum, sister; Audrey Meek; and her father in-law, Vern Robert Kieffer Sr.

In addition to her husband, Vern, she will be sadly missed by her daughters; Melissa (Todd) Hayhurst of East Sparta, Shannon (Scott) Krocker of New Philadelphia; brothers, Jack (Mary) Jones of Tennessee, Dick (Audrey) Clum of Uhrichsville, Donald Clum of West Palm Beach, Florida; sisters, Mildred (Bob) Viegel of Uhrichsville, Mary King of New Philadelphia, Phyllis Clum of New Philadelphia; three grandchildren, Nate Hayhurst of East Sparta, and Samantha and Seth Krocker of New Philadelphia; mother in-law, Lynora Kieffer of Dover; sister's in law; Tanya (Jr.) Moore of Bolivar, Kay (Dan) Jones of Zoarville; brother in-law, Danny Kieffer of Dover; her special friends; Dillon and Darlene Sears of Somerdale; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Alice's life will be held at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Monday, December 1, 2014 at 11:00 am with Pastor Floyd Stanfill and Pastor Scott Simmons officiating. Interment will be held at the Ft. Laurens Cemetery in Bolivar. A gathering will follow the service of committal at Faith Baptist Church in Bolivar. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Sunday, November 30, 2014 from 2:00-4:00pm and one hour prior to the service on Monday.
