Alice M. Gray

Alice M. Gray, 92, of New Philadelphia died Monday, October 3, 2005 at the Park Village Health Care Center.

Born April 7, 1913 in Franklin Twp., Tuscarawas County, she was a daughter of the late George and Sarah Bair Yackey.

She was a member of the First Moravian Church in Dover where she was a Sunday school teacher and was very active in the Women�(TM)s Fellowship. Alice was also a member of the Rebekah Lodge and a 1931 graduate of Strasburg High School.

Alice was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Lyle V. Gray who died on March 21, 2003.

She is survived by a daughter, Donna Jean (Walter) Gursky of Brighton, Michigan; two sons, Larry (Lynne) Gray of Newnan, Georgia and John (Linda) Gray of Tellico Village, Tennessee; 11 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, one great great grandson and many nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by eight brothers and five sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2005 at 11:00 am in the First Moravian Church at Dover with Pastor Allen Bergmann officiating. Interment will be at the Evergreen Burial Park. Following the burial a reception will be held in the church social hall. Friends can call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes and Crematory in Dover on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm.
