Alma “Millie” Millocena Gibb, 88, of Dover, Ohio died Friday, May 30, 2003 in the Park Village Health Care Center following an extended illness.
Early in her life, she worked for the former Judy�(TM)s Produce at Newcomerstown.
Born April 24, 1915 in Blaine, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Henderson and Mary Blake Heston.
Millie was a member of the St. John�(TM)s United Church of Christ in Dover. She was a 1932 graduate of Port Washington High School. She loved sewing, crocheting and gardening and she and her late husband enjoyed traveling and camping.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. “Harry” Gibb who died March 18 of this year.
She is survived by one daughter, Margaret Renner of New Philadelphia; three sons, James R. (Sandra) Gibb of Dover, Donald (Nancy) Gibb of New Philadelphia, and Jerry (Deb Sickels) Gibb of New Philadelphia along with fourteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Jennifer Gibb, seven sisters, Beulah Porter, Orella Thornton, Naomi Heston, Margaret Heston, Hazel Heston, Grace Ruth, Thelma Baker and two brothers, Ellsworth “Bud” Heston and Eugene Heston.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, June 3, 2003 at 11 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Rev. Steven Daniels officiating. Interment will be in the Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.
