Alma V. Fulton

Alma V. Fulton, 95, of Amberwood Manor, New Philadelphia, and a long-time resident of Tuscarawas, died Thursday, August 24, 2006.

Born December 20, 1910 in Goshen, she was a daughter of the late George and Mable Collar Anderson. Alma and her husband, Ike Fulton, were custodians at the former Tuscarawas High School.

She attended the Twin City Baptist Church in Uhrichsville, and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary in Tuscarawas. Alma enjoyed following the Cleveland Indians, feeding and caring for the birds around her home, and crocheting.

Survivors include her sister, Helen Contini of New Philadelphia; three nieces, Sandra Stuber, Rustalyn (husband, Mike) Gerber, and Latrisha Roup, all of New Philadelphia; two nephews, Eugene Anderson of Arizona, and Richard McConnell of New Philadelphia.

In addition to her parents, Alma was preceded in death by her husband Ike, in 1966; two sisters, Lottie Joy Anderson and Ida Mae Stuber; three brothers, Bill, Ed and Carl Anderson (who was killed in the Second World War).

A committal service, open to the public, will be held Monday, August 28, at 10:30 a.m., in Evergreen Burial Park, New Philadelphia, with Pastor Jim Lewis of Grace Lutheran Church in Dover officiating.
