Alonzo W. Parrish Jr., 52, of Uhrichsville died Saturday, May 10, 2014 from injuries he sustained from an automobile accident that occurred on Thursday.
Born July 5, 1961 in Dennison he was a son of Alonzo Sr. and Mary O. Mahaffey Parrish of Uhrichsville. Alonzo is also survived by his sons, Lonn Alan Corso of Uhrichsville and Alonzo Parrish of Dover; brothers and sisters, Kathy (George) Striker, Kyle (Brenda) Parrish, Karla Parrish and Kaye Kaye (Donnie) Greenwalt all of Uhrichsville and Kelly (Karen) Parrish of Dennison.; grandchildren, Alex and Zach and many nieces and nephews.
He loved working outdoors and was an expert Tree Trimmer having worked for numerous companies throughout the years. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, hiking and outdoor photography and he enjoyed all types of music, especially rock-and-roll. Alonzo had a deep love for his family and friends and was always willing to lend a helping hand. As on organ donor, he was able to keep his spirit of giving to help improve the lives of others.
A memorial service celebrating Alonzo's life will be held on Saturday, May 17 at 1:00 pm in the Bethel Worship Center at Uhrichsville with Pastor John Stevenson officiating. Friends can call one hour prior to the service at the church. The Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover is handling arrangements.
