Amanda E. ''Mandy'' Ball

Amanda E. “Mandy” Ball, 79, of Bolivar, and a longtime Strasburg resident went home to be with the Lord Friday, December 13, 2002.

Born October 2, 1923 at Roswell, she was daughter of the late Charles C.W. & Clio Rabe Herron.

Mandy was a member of the Faith Community Church at Canton for over 50 years. In that time she had served as Sunday school teacher, was a member of the Happy Hearts class and had played the piano for her class functions. Above all, Mandy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time at home with her family.

She is survived by her loving husband, Joseph E. Ball, with whom she would have celebrated 58 years of marriage on January, 30.

Other survivors include: a son; K.C. (Fred) Ball of Columbus, daughter; Mrs. Richard (Connie) Arney of Bolivar, brother; John F. Herron of Dover, grandchildren; Richard Joseph Arney, David Christian Ball, Mary Elizabeth Ball, great grandchildren; Dylan Ball & Alaina Christine Arney, numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mandy was preceded in death by two sisters, Cora Van Fossen & Osee Sheets.

Funeral services will be held Monday, December 16, at 1:30pm in the St. John United Church of Christ, Strasburg with Pastor Dave Cobb officiating. Interment will be in the Grandview Union Cemetery at Strasburg. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-5pm.
