Amanda E. McCockran

Amanda E. “Mandy” McCockran, 95, of Dover passed away on Friday, November 3, 2023, at Park Village Health Care Center in Dover. 

Born on September 18, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Emmanuel and Amanda (Schlabach) Mullett.  

Mandy was married to Claude O. McCockran for 16 years, before he preceded her in death on May 14, 1984.  She was also preceded in death by her good friend, Elizabeth “Tag” Walker; five brothers, eight sisters, and many nieces and nephews.  

She cleaned homes for over 60 years.  Mandy attended the First Baptist Church in Dover.  She was an avid gardener and had a green thumb.  Her gardens were always beautiful.  

She leaves behind many nieces and nephews, along with her close friends; Gino and Mary Amistadi of Dover.  

Her family would like to thank the staff at Park Village Health Care Center in Dover for the incredible care that she received while residing there.  

Friends invited to call at the First Baptist Church in Dover on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 from 10-11:00 a.m.  A celebration of Mandy’s life will be held immediately following the visitation at 11:00 am at the church  with Rev. Rasheed As-Samad officiating.  Interment will held at Dover Burial. Park.
