Amber Lanae Sherrell

Amber LaNae Sherrell, 38, of Mineral City passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2021.

Born in Dover on April 23, 1983, she was the daughter of the late Robert “Bobby” Sherrell and Karen (Jeff) Taylor of Mineral City.

Amber graduated from New Philadelphia High School with the class of 2001. She attended Kent State University and took some classes through The Art Institute of Pittsburgh. She was a well-known and talented artist and hairstylist, helping countless people feel their best, around the area.

Amber will be remembered for her huge heart, and her kind sweet nature. She also had a love for animals.

She will be sadly missed by her mother and step-father, Karen and Jeff Taylor; her beloved son, Louis Dill, who attends Tusky Valley; her “baby sister,” Ashley (Chris) Whims of Rittman; grandmother, Jackie Sherrell of Dover; three nephews, Gabriel, Solomon, and Gideon Whims; niece, Selah Whims all of Rittman; Louis’ father and her friend, Joe Dill; along with several aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.

In addition to her father, Bobby, she was preceded in death by her grandparents; Gene and Ruth Patrick, grandfather, Robert Sherrell; great-grandparents, Major and Wilma Houston, John and Edna Yonley, and Corliss and Viola Patrick.

Friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes & Crematory in Dover on Monday, November 1, 2021, from 5-8 pm. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at 11:00 am with Preacher Harry Ogletree officiating.
