Ann Lou York, 87, of Dover, went home to be with the Lord Monday, October 13, 2003.
Born June 9, 1916 at Waynesboro, TN, she was the daughter of the late Luther and Mae Long Pulley.
Ann was a loving Christian and enjoyed attending the Calvary Baptist Church at New Philadelphia. She was a woman of many talents who took pride in her ability to paint, sew, sing, and cook.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Jess York, who passed away on October 15, 1986.
Survivors include: nine children; Mrs. Dean (Ruby) Beatty of Millersburg, Mrs. Tom (Betty) Potts of Dover, Ms. Elizabeth York of Millersburg, Mrs. Raymond (Lucille) Gingrich of Dundee, Mrs. John (Louise) Mizer of Dover, Mr. Jim (Linda) York of Dennison, Mrs. David (Patsy) Michalek of Apple Creek, Mr. Robert (Cynda) Lenarz of Sugarcreek and Mrs. Tony (Debra) Aquilino of Parma, 21 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by: four brothers, three sisters, a daughter, son, great grandson and great granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 16, at 11:00 a.m. in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home, Dover with Rev. Donald M. Snow officiating. Interment will be in the Dover Burial Park. A reception will follow in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center.
Friends may call in the funeral home on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. and one hour prior to services on Thursday.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to either: the Calvary Baptist Church, 1507 Oldtown Valley Rd. SE, New Philadelphia or to Hospice of Tuscarawas County, 201 West 3rd St., Dover.
