Ann M. Burnhouse, 88, of the Country Club Center and formerly of Superior Ave., Dover, Ohio died Saturday, August 6, 2005 in the center.
Ann retired in 1981, as a receptionist and telephone operator for the former Reeves Steel Company in Dover where she worked for 33 years.
Born July 30, 1917 in Austria, a daughter of the late Angelo and Minnie Laner.
She was a member of the First Moravian Church at Dover and was a longtime volunteer at Union Hospital. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, AARP, and the Tuscarawas County Senior Citizens. Ann was an avid Cleveland Indians fan.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Burnhouse who died October 13, 1986.
She is survived by three sisters and a brother; Ida Deceuster of Dover, Lena Davis of Brewster, Angie Klepa of California, and Leo Laner of Youngstown; a sister in law, Norma Laner of New Philadelphia; and many nieces and nephews including Connie (Dr. Jim) Karlowicz of Dover who was devoted to Ann.
Ann was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Laner and a sister, Trinda Wardell.
A funeral service celebrating Ann�(TM)s life will be held Wednesday, August 10, 2005 at 10am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory at Dover with Rev. Glen Shedlock and her nephews, Joel and Ken Deceuster and Jason Karlowicz officiating. Interment will follow in the Dover Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 7-9pm.
