Ann M. Menapace

Ann M. Menapace, 99, of Dover passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2011 at Union Hospital in Dover following a brief illness.

Born on August 23, 1911, in Barberton, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Steve and Catherine Heim Chapandy. She married the love of her life, Arthur F. Menapace, who preceded her in death on May 2, 1995.

Ann was employed at the Diamond Match Company in Barberton for over 15 years. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dover where she was in the Christian Mothers Club. She also volunteered at Park Village Health Care Centre for many years.

She will be remembered for her loving and positive nature. Her main priorities throughout her life were the Lord, her family and friends. She enjoyed writing letters and concluded each of her letters by writing, "Remember to tell God how much you love him."

Ann will be sadly missed by her daughters; Gloria Jean Ruggeri of Hampton, VA, Patricia Ann (Larry) Kluener of Harrison, Ohio; four grandchildren, Debra (Wayne) Morrison, Michael Ruggeri, Todd (Adrianne) Kluener, Scott Kluener; her great grandchildren, Stephanie Ruggeri, Aaron and Liam Kluener; and her sister in-law, Henrietta Haskett of Dover.
Ann's family would like to express their gratitude to her special friends and caregivers, Angie and Frank, Esther, Belinda, Mary Jane, Penny and Debbie.

In addition to her husband and parents, Ann is preceded in death by two brothers; Steven and Anthony Chapandy; son in-law, Nick Ruggeri; sisters, Mary Chapandy, and Theresa McIntyre.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Monday, March 28, 2011 at 10:30 am. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Calvary Cemetery in Dover. Following the service of committal, a meal will follow at St. Joseph's Family Life Center. Friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Sunday, March 27, 2011 from 2-4 pm. A Christian Wake service will take place at 3:45 pm.
