Anna M. Rufenacht

Anna Margaret Melich Rufenacht, 84, of New Philadelphia died Saturday, September 17, 2011 in the New Dawn Retirement Center.

She retired from the family business, Rufenacht Ideal Grinding, after 50 years of service.

Born September 1, 1927 in Dover she was a daughter of the late Paul and Margaret Melich. Anna was also preceded in death by her sister, Marjorie Wallick.

Anna was active in the Union Grange, Women of the Moose, Girl Scouts, Dennison Depot historical events and was a Brownie Leader and Den Mother. She enjoyed life, traveling, camping and making people smile.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be missed by her husband of 65 years, Junior Rufenacht; son, Daniel Lee Rufenacht; daughter, Peggy (Dave) Schnader both of New Philadelphia; grandchildren, Chris (Nikki) Rufenacht, Danielle (Rob) Goedel and Sara (Zachary) Hudas; great grandchildren, Bryce and Brynn Goedel, Samuel and Cody Rufenacht and Riley Hudas; sister, Marian Cyr and brother in law, Jerry Wallick.

Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover. Private graveside services will be held at a later date. Those wishing to express their fondest memories of Anna may do so by visiting the on line obituaries and flowers link on the funeral homes website.
