Annabell Heisler Vandevort

Annabell Heisler Vandevort, 79, of New Philadelphia, died Sunday, April 5, 2009 at Union Hospital in Dover following an extended illness.

Born on September 2, 1929, in New Philadelphia, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Clarence E. Heisler and Jenny Harper. She married Leonard C. Vandevort, who preceded her in death in 2000.

Annabell was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Dover.

Survivors include her brother; Clarence Heister of her home; two sisters in-law, Dorothy Hummel of Midvale, Ohio, and Mildred of Fort Myers Florida; as well as many nieces and nephews. Her faithful K-9 companion, Cami, also survives her.

Her brother; David L. Heisler; her sister, Iona Tidrick and one grandchild precede her in death.

A celebration of Annabell's life will take place at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory in New Philadelphia on Thursday, April 9, 2009 at 11:00 am with Chris Mulpas from the First Christian Church in Dover officiating. A private burial will follow at Ridgecrest Memory Gardens in Dover.
