Annie M. Saunders

Annie M. Saunders, 75, of Dover died Saturday, September 27, 2003 at Amberwood Manor in New Philadelphia following an extended illness.

Born February 18, 1928 in Dover she was a daughter of the late Duke and Nellie Pullum Carter.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dover and the Women�(TM)s Missionary Group. Annie was very active within the church playing the piano, and acting in skits at First Baptist and other church�(TM)s in the area.
She enjoyed taking care of her family; they were the center of her life, giving her the strength to face each day.

Annie is survived by her husband William Saunders with whom she celebrated 53 years of marriage on April 17, 2003.

She is also survived by two sons: Willy (Sally) Saunders of California City, CA
Stephen Saunders of Columbus

Two daughters: Anita (Steve) Horton of Wilksboro, North Carolina
Wendy (Johnny) Smith of California City, CA

12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Leroy Carter; two sisters, Laura Carter and Pansy Willis.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2003 at 1:00 pm in the First Baptist Church at Dover with Pastor Chris Lowery officiating. Interment will be at the Dover Burial Park. Friends can call at the church on Thursday one hour prior to the service.
