Anthony H. Fabiano, Sr., age 78, of Dublin, passed away there Tuesday, August 28, 2018, following a long illness.
Born November 21, 1939, in Steubenville, he was a son of the late Guy and Margaret Bardelli Fabiano. Anthony graduated high school and entered the United States Navy. During his service time he was a member of the Navy Band, playing the trumpet, and had the honor of meeting Sir. Winston Churchill and other dignitaries. On April 28, 1962, following his discharge, Anthony married the former Nancy Lee Tornabene. The couple had three sons and shared fifty-four years of marriage prior to Nancy’s passing on June 23, 2016. Anthony was employed for many years by Johnson & Johnson, from which he retired. His work with Johnson & Johnson required frequent moves, and Anthony and Nancy were active in the Roman Catholic Church wherever they lived. Additionally, some of Anthony’s favorite pastimes included running and karate - he was a third degree black belt.
Survivors include three sons, Tony (Patricia) Fabiano of Dublin, Bob (Jamie) Fabiano of Meridian, Idaho, and Mike Fabiano of Boynton Beach, Florida; seven grandchildren, whom Anthony adored, Kelly, Kathryn, Robert Jr., Michael, Skylyn, Jenny and Rachel; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Charla Byrd.
A memorial Mass will be held Saturday, September 1, at 10:30 a.m., in St. Joseph Church, Dover, with Fr. Jimmy Hatfield officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Calvary Cemetery, where military rites will be conducted.
