Anthony W. "Tony" Cenci

Anthony W. “Tony” Cenci, 87, of Dover passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, September 5, 2018.

Born January 17, 1931 in New Philadelphia he was a son of the late Nicholas and Laura Venditti Cenci. Tony was also preceded in death by his sisters, Eva Welsh, Norma Cenci, Martha Bearducci, and a brother, John Cenci.

Tony started his 50 year career at Endres Floral Company when he was in middle school, and continued until his retirement in 1991. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Tuscarawas Central Catholic Booster Club. Tony was an avid golfer and enjoyed going to Flea Markets and playing cards. He proudly served his country with the United States Army.

Tony is survived by his wife of 44 years, Carole Endres Cenci, whom he married on July 19, 1974; sister, Elsie Cenci of New Philadelphia and many nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, September 10 at 11:00 am in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Fr. Jeff Coning officiating. Interment will be in the Sacred Heart Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 am.
