Ardis Y. Pyle

Ardis Y. Pyle, 84, of Somerdale died Saturday, October 15, 2011 at the Park Village Health Care Center.

Born April 18, 1927 in Midland, Michigan she was a daughter of the late Hazen and Mary Lamphierd Briggs. Ardis was also preceded in death by her husband, Dale T. Pyle on October 20, 1998; grandson, Matt Morris and her sister, Donna Reese.

Ardis was a member of Leesville Faith Community Chapel. She enjoyed baking and taking care of her family.

A wonderful and loving mother and grandmother, Ardis will be sadly missed by her children, Margaret Pyle, Sue (Brian) Adams and Mary Morris and her companion, Bob Meyer all of Somerdale, Dave (Jodi) Pyle of Uhrichsville; sister, Gloria Bignall of Ann Arbor, Michigan; eight grandchildren, Heather, Christen, Renee, Chris, Beth, Nathan, Katie and Courtney and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2011 at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with Pastor Doug McFadden officiating. Interment will be in the New Cumberland Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6-8 pm.
