Ardyze M. Malcuit, 79, of Strasburg died unexpectedly in her home on Saturday, February 7, 2004.
She had retired as the owner of Red Malcuit Inc. in Strasburg after 25 years of service.
Born December 4, 1924 in Dover she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Zerelda Noftsinger Krantz.
She was a member of the former St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Strasburg. She loved her family, grandchildren and she especially enjoyed watching her sons compete on the racetrack.
Ardyze was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, William “Red” Malcuit, who died on April 2, 1984.
She is survived by three sons: William (Sue) Malcuit of Beach City
Mark (Andrea) Malcuit of Strasburg
Brad Malcuit of Strasburg
Brother: Theodore A. Krantz of Strasburg
Sister: Vivian (Jack) Rittmaier of Beach City
Former daughter in law: Amy Malcuit of New Philadelphia
Nine grandchildren: Melanie (Matt) Neidenthal, Gwenevere, Marcus, Burt, Billy, Emily, Amanda, Henry and Elizabeth Malcuit.
Six great grandchildren: Nicholas, Nathaniel, Maxwell, Matthew, Michael and Mitchel.
Special friend: Roger Renner of Dover.
She was also preceded in death by her brother: Lewis Krantz
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2004 at 1:00 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Fr. William Arnold officiating. Interment will be at St. Aloysius Cemetery in Strasburg. Following the burial a reception will be held at the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center. Friends can call at the funeral home on Tuesday (today) from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Christian wake services will be at 7:30 pm.
