Arlene C. Pease, age 83, of New Philadelphia, died Monday, Sept. 17, 2012, in Union Hospital at Dover, following a brief illness.
Born Nov. 5, 1928, at Dover, she was a daughter of the late Frank A. and Irene Maus Gregory. Arlene graduated from New Philadelphia High School in 1946, and was employed by the Joy Manufacturing Co. at New Philadelphia for forty-five years, retiring in 1991. She married Ernest C. "Kink" Pease, and the two were an active couple who fished, bowled and traveled, but who especially enjoyed the game of golf, playing many courses throughout the United States. Arlene and Kink shared over fifty years together before Kink's passing in 2001.
Arlene is survived by a sister, Ruth Vickers of New Philadelphia, and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service, officiated by Rev. Brian Flood of Faith Christian Church at New Philadelphia, will be held Friday, Sept. 21, at 1:30 p.m. in New Philadelphia's Evergreen Burial Park. To sign an online guestbook and share a fond memory of Arlene, please visit the Obituaries and Flowers link on the Toland-Herzig website.
The family suggests that contributions in Arlene's memory be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
