Arlene J. Swinderman

Arlene J. Swinderman, 86, of Dover died Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at Union Hospital.

Born July 2, 1921 in Tuscarawas, Ohio she was a daughter of the late William Sr. and Grace Myers Simmons. In addition to her parents, her brother, William Simmons Jr, also preceded her in death.

Arlene is survived by her husband of 61years, Robert Swinderman whom she married on July 2, 1946.

She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. Arlene enjoyed making ceramics, but her favorite treat was going to Bob Evans with her husband. She and Robert have been going to the Dover restaurant every night for the last eight years.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 27, 2008 at 2:00 pm in the Grace Lutheran Church at Dover with Pastor Jim Lewis officiating. Interment will be at the Dover Burial Park. Friends can call at the church one-hour prior to the service on Friday. The Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes and Crematory at Dover are handling arrangements.
