Arlette L. Donato

Arlette L. Donato, 89, of Dover died Friday, March 9, 2018 in her home following a period of declining health.

Born June 6, 1928 in Dover, she was a daughter of the late Dewey and Suzanne Grafe. Arlette was also preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Donato on October 14, 1978; three sisters, Dorothy Struchen, Betty Robson, Elizabeth Good and brothers, Alcide and Charles Grafe.

She was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Joe Seniors and Christian Mothers Club. Arlette enjoyed crossword puzzles, traveling, going to the park, listening to the Dominic Greco Band, and most of all, spending time with her grand and great grandchildren.

A wonderful and loving mother and grandmother, Arlette will be missed by her children, David (companion, Patty Polka) Donato of Dover, Fred Donato of New Philadelphia, Diana (Dan) Patterson of Dover, John (Mary) Donato of Florida; brother, Dewey (Sue) Grafe of Dover; sister in law, Helen Grafe of New Philadelphia, along with six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

A funeral mass will be celebrated of Saturday, March 24 at 1:00 pm in the St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Jimmy Hatfield officiating. Interment will be in the St. Joseph Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover on Friday from 5-7 pm with Christian Wake Services starting at 6:45.
