Barb Mcclintock

Barb McClintock, age 77, of Dover, died Tuesday, July 22, 2014, in her home, following a brief but courageous battle with cancer.

Born December 24, 1936, in Dover, she was the daughter of the late Harry O. and Mary M. (Contini) Hooper. Barb graduated from St. Joseph High School, and was employed by Weigand Trucking Co. and Sears, Roebuck & Co., both of Dover, before opening her own business, Barb's Little Shop, from which she retired. She also served as treasurer of the former Tuscarawas County Tourist Association.

Barb was a loving homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren as well as traveling, collecting, antiquing, and refinishing furniture with her husband, Everett McClintock.

Survivors include her two daughters, Terrie (husband, Byron) Bradshaw of Dover, and Cheryl (husband, Eric) Lautzenheiser of New Philadelphia; her son, Gene "Pete" Rice of Dover; her eight grandchildren, Jesse (wife, Ioana) and Brook Moran, Elijah, Micayla and Drew Lautzenheiser, Zach, Amber and Taylor Rice; and her lifelong friend, Nancy Schindler of Dover.

Besides her parents, Barb was preceded in death by her husband of twenty-nine years, Everett, with whom she will now join in eternal life.
