Barbara Jo “Barbie (Maybaugh) Perez, 38 of Dover, died Friday, November, 29, 2002 in Aultman Hospital following complications from kidney illness.
She was a Registered Nurse and had worked at Twin City Hospital and many local nursing homes.
Born July 31, 1964 at Dover she was the daughter of Joseph & Louise D�(TM)Agnone Maybaugh of Dover.
Barbie was a 1984 graduate of Dover High School and a 1991 graduate from the School of Nursing at Kent State University, Tuscarawas. She was an avid reader and loved spending time with her family, including her dog “Katie”. She had been a longtime member of Alcoholics Anonymous and enjoyed speaking at meetings and encouraging others. She was a volunteer at “Soda Pops” in downtown Dover.
In addition to her parents, Barbie is survived by “the boys” �" her loving son Peter J. Perez, and devoted nephew Jamey Maybaugh, as well as her best friend and sister Julianne Maybaugh, all with whom she resided. Other survivors include: a brother; Jeffrey Maybaugh and Pam Watkins of New Philadelphia, lifelong friend; Lisa Davidson and many other dear friends.
She was preceded in death by: grandparents; Lois & Albert D�(TM)Agnone, Agnes Teasdale and Clois Maybaugh, and an infant brother Joseph C. Maybaugh.
A funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday, December 3, at 10:00am in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dover with Fr. William Arnold officiating. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery at Dover. Friends may call in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home, Dover on Monday from 6-9pm.
