Barbara Anne "Barb" Jones

Barbara Anne “Barb” Jones, age 73, of Strasburg, passed away Friday, June 16, 2023, in Park Village Health Care Center, Dover.

Born May 25, 1950, in Dover, she was a daughter of the late Veryl and Betty Groff Jones. Barbara graduated from Strasburg-Franklin High School in 1970. She delivered newspapers for The Times-Reporter and was a long-time school crossing guard in Strasburg. 

Barbara was a member of Strasburg’s First Lutheran Church. She loved her Strasburg Tigers and was the Cleveland Indians and Guardians  No. 1 fan nearly her entire life.

Family was very important to Barbara. She will be dearly missed by her brothers, Thomas (Debra) Jones of Mansfield, and Bradley Jones of Dover; her sisters, Linda (Marion) Keim of Beach City, and Carol (James) Infield of Orrville; her brother-in-law, Dwight Justice of Dover; and her nieces and nephews and their families.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her sister, Kathie Justice.

The family would like to acknowledge the staff at Park Village for the excellent care and love they showed Barb - Thank You So Very Much.

Family and friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home, 140 S. Bodmer Ave., Strasburg, on Wednesday, June 21, 10- 11 a.m. A service will follow at 11 in the funeral home officiated by Pastor Jason Rissler of St. John United Church of Christ in Strasburg. Burial will be in Strasburg’s Grandview Union Cemetery.
