Barbara L. Taylor

Barbara L. Taylor, 71, of Sugarcreek passed away peacefully on Monday, January 27, 2025, at the Cleveland Clinic. 

Born on May 14, 1953, in Lakewood, Ohio she was a daughter of the late Leroy "Lee" and Kathryn Renaud Lehman. Barbara was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard "Tank" Taylor on May 1, 2007, and her brother, David Lehman.

Barbara had a fulfilling career that included her retirement from New Dawn Child Care in Dover, where she made a significant impact on the lives of many children. Prior to that, she devoted almost 30 years of her life to serving as a Nurses Aide at Park Village Health Care Center, demonstrating her commitment to the well-being of others. She also attended the First United Methodist Church in Dover.

Barbara was a beloved friend to many and cherished her time with family. She is survived by her children, Keith (Valerie) Taylor of Dover and Steffanie (Tom) Richter of Baltic; sister, Sue (Cliff) Easlick of Dover; grandchildren, Brook, Jakob, Sophia, Emily, and Tobias.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 4th starting at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with Pastor Greg DeLong officiating. Interment will be in the Evergreen Burial Park at New Philadelphia. The family will be greeting friends at the funeral home on Monday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
