Bert P. Collins

Bert P. Collins Sr., 52, of New Philadelphia died Saturday, July 12, 2014 at the Cleveland Clinic.

Born March 11, 1962 in Canton he was a son of Charlotte Preston Collins of New Philadelphia and the late Monte Howard Collins. Bert was also preceded in death by his brother, Monte Michael Collins Sr. who was his sidekick and best friend.

He was a member of Union Local #134 in Newcomerstown and was an avid NASCAR fan.

In addition to his mother, Bert is also survived by his wife, Charlene Grove Collins whom he married on November 17, 2012; children, Bert (Karen) Collins Jr. of Colorado, Shayla Chavez of Arizona, Jessie Collins and Kasey Collins both of Tuscarawas; step children, Colton Cantrill of Ravenna and Tori Cantrill of Roswell; brother, Tom Collins of Illinois; grandchildren, Sara, Rachael and Jeremiah; many nieces and nephews including, Amber and Michael Collins.
