Bettie J. Steely, 83, of Dover, died Thursday, April 29, 2004 in the Park Vilage Health Care Center.
Born December 6, 1920 at Dover, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Dorothy Grover Young.
Bettie was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Dover and it�(TM)s Clara Sullivan group. She was a longtime member of the Reliable Rebekah Lodge #849 where she served as treasurer for many years. She was also a member of the Hobby Club and the Homemakers Club and enjoyed playing Jass.
She is survived by her husband, Albert E. Steely, whom she wed on July 6, 1940.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Susan (Harry) Butler of Dover and Barbara (Mike) Roadruck of Toledo; two grandchildren, Rebecca Sue (Greg) Marsh of Dover and Betty Ann (Kevin) Cedervall of Lansing, MI; six grandchildren, Taylor, Ryker, Lexus and Lucas Marsh and Christina and Johnathan Cedervall, a brother; Ned Young of McKeys Rocks, PA and a sister; Helen Renicker of New Philadelphia.
A funeral service celebrating Bettie�(TM)s life will be held Monday, May 3 at 11:00 a.m. in the Grace Lutheran Church, Dover with Pastors Lee Eilert and Marlin Drake officiating. Interment will be in the Ridgecrest Memory Gardens. Friends may call in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home, Dover on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and one hour prior to services at the church on Monday.
