Betty G. Bidinger

Betty G. Bidinger, 78, of Dover passed away on Friday, June 11, 2021 at Union Hospital following a sudden illness.

Born October 3, 1942 in Manchester, New Hampshire she was a daughter of the late William and Belle Riddle Gibbs. Betty was also preceded in death by her sister, Annabelle Dean and brother in law, Cliff Edwards.

She was employed at St. Joseph Catholic Church as the Family Life Center Coordinator for the last 15 years. Betty was a loving and gracious wife, mother and grandmother who loved taking care of her family, working in her garden and baking. She also enjoyed working at the church; the people there were like her extended family.

Betty is survived by her husband of 58 years, William Bidinger, whom she married on August 18, 1962; children, William (Suzanne) Bidinger of Germany, Kevin (Katherine) Bidinger of Dover, George (fiancé, Charlotte Simmons) Bidinger of Massillon; brother in law, Tom Dean; siblings, William (Carol) Gibbs of Newcomerstown, Myrtle Edwards of Kentucky, Virginia (Ed) Diefenbaugh of Dover; grandchildren, Jonathon, Erik (Ashley), Samantha, Melissa (Daniel), Dannielle (Patrick), Jessica, David (Donicka), Matthew (Becky), Alizee; greatgrandchildren, Chandra, Madison, Damian, Dawson, Tyler, Christian, Jackson, Braxton, Amaya, Addison, and Liam.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 24th starting at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with Fr. Jimmy Hatfield officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Thursday.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or to the American Cancer Society.
