Betty J. Brugger

Betty J. Brugger, 85, of Strasburg died Tuesday, February 10, 2009 in Aultman Hospital.

She retired from Strasburg Savings Bank as a Bookkeeper after 20 years of service.

Born October 6, 1923 in Strasburg she was a daughter of the late Russell and Emma Johnson Rentsch. Her husband, Archie Brugger who died on November 3, 1990, infant daughter, Kathy Brugger and her brother, Robert Rentsch, also preceded Betty in death.

Betty was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Strasburg. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing and loved being with her family, especially her dog, Lady.

Betty will be sadly missed by her daughter, Cindy Brugger of Strasburg; siblings, Clara (Jim) Clark of Colorado, Bernice Hall of Newark, Norma (Bob) Freitag of Strasburg, Bruce (Helen) Rentsch of Virginia and Richard (Bev) Rentsch of Strasburg.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2009 at 11:00 am in the St. John United Church of Christ at Strasburg with Rev. Gary Friend officiating. Interment will be in the Grandview Union Cemetery at Strasburg. Friends can call in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes and Crematory at Strasburg on Friday from 6-8 pm.
