Betty J. Clay

Betty J. Clay, 74, of New Philadelphia died Saturday, November 24, 2001 at Union Hospital following a brief illness.

Born February 27, 1927 in Wainwright she was a daughter of the late Randall and Anna Fox Gleitsman.

She was a member of Broadway United Methodist Church in New Philadelphia and was a 1945 graduate of Dover High School.

Betty is survived by her husband Alfred H. Clay with whom she celebrated 56 years of marriage on July 23, 2001.

She is also survived by two daughters: Rebecca (Ronald) Budic of North Canton
Teresa (Jeff) Durbin of North Canton

Two sons: Jon (Sheila) Clay of Glen Ellyn, Illinois
Jac (Vicki) Clay of New Philadelphia

Two sisters: Kathy Gleitsman of New Philadelphia
Bev (Bob) Charnock of Uhrichsville

One brother: Randy Gleitsman of Dover

Ten grandchildren: Robin, Trevor, Erin, Jennifer, Jessica, Luke, Ted, Diane, Lauren and
Nicholas

Many close and dear friends.

She was also preceded in death by a grandson: Logan Clay

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 27, 2001 at 1:30 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Rev. Jim Spencer officiating. Interment will be at the Dover Burial Park. Friends can call at the funeral home on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.
