Betty J. Cotter

Betty J. Cotter, 97, of Dover died Friday, June 17, 2016 in the Park Village Health Care Center.

Born June 21, 1918 in Dover she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Helen Thompson Seikel. Betty was also preceded in death by her husband, Rodger Cotter on May 15, 1965; brother, Sam Seikel; sister, Ann Seikel and an infant son.

Betty was a 1936 graduate of Dover High School and attended Miami and Kent State Universities. On April 5, 1941 she married Rodger and they moved to Middletown, Ohio. She was a member of Delta Gamma sorority and was an avid sports fan who loved playing golf and bridge.

She is survived by her sister in law, Colleen Seikel of Oklahoma, nephews, Peter Seikel of Oklahoma, Douglas and Rex Cotter of Indiana; niece, Ellen Seikel of Tennessee; cousins, Sandy Space of Dover, Mary (Ed) Krebs of Florida, Charlene (Richard) Johnson of Washington, Carol Peterson of California, Nancy Stephens of Georgia and Mary Ann (Robert) Drennan of Virginia.
