Betty J. Hall, 87, of Dover died Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at the Park Village Health Care Center.
Betty had been employed as an executive secretary at several area businesses throughout the years.
Born February 14, 1923 in Dover she was a daughter of the late Melvin and Lily Zimmerman Thompson.
Betty was an active member of the First Moravian Church in Dover and had also been a member of Dover VFW Aux and the Ladies of the Moose. She was an avid swimmer, who was still swimming at the YMCA until her health forced her to stop a year and a half ago.
A loving mother and grandmother, Betty will be sadly missed by her daughters, Rita Hall of North Lawrence, Ohio and Brenda Cortright of Charleston, South Carolina; sister, Ruth Kemp Cox of Plantation, Florida; six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 13, 2010 at 1:00 pm in the First Moravian Church at Dover with Pastor John Wallace officiating. Interment will be at the Dover Burial Park. There are no public calling hours. The Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover are handling arrangements.
