Betty J. Kollar

Betty Jo Kollar, 81, of New Philadelphia died Friday, June 26, 2009 at Union Hospital.

Born January 28, 1928 in Spencer, West Virginia she was a daughter of the late Fay and Adena McConnell Bowyer. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Jack and Richard Bowyer; brother in law, Larry Haught and sister in law Janet Jo Bowyer.

She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in New Philadelphia.

Betty is survived by her husband of 57 years, James D. Kollar, whom she married on August 31, 1951.

She is also survived by two sons, Darrin (wife, Shari) Kollar of Alaska and Martin Kollar of New Philadelphia; sister, June Haught of Spencer, West Virginia; brother, James (wife, Jo) Bowyer of Charleston, West Virginia and sister in law, Janet Lea Bowyer of Spencer, West Virginia.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes and Crematory at Dover. Interment will be in the Ridgecrest Memory Gardens.
