Betty J. Miller, 83, of Dover, Ohio died Friday, November 21, 2003 in the New Dawn Retirement Center at Dover following an extended illness.
Born September 3, 1920 in Dover, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Mary Matchett Shumaker.
Betty was a member of the First Moravian Church at Dover. She was a 1938 graduate of Dover High School and enjoyed reading.
She is survived by her husband, Derlin A. Miller with whom she celebrated 62 years of marriage on June 11.
She is also survived by three daughters Sandy (Gary) Page of Gahanna; Beverly (Jeff) Kirkbride of Dover and Debbie (Mark) Stack of Gahanna
Five grandchildren Todd Page, Troy (Kelli) Page, Jennifer (Karl) Hoop, Ryan (Brandi) Kirkbride, and Kristin Stack Four great grandchildren Emma Kirkbride, Zack Hoop, Mason and Carter Page; One brother Terry (Phyllis) Shumaker of Dover and one sister, Peg (Ray) Shultz of Dover.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim and William Shumaker.
Funeral services celebrating Betty�(TM)s life will be held Monday, November 24, 2003 at 11 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Rev. Allen Bergmann officiating. Interment will be in the Dover Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday (today) from 2:30pm-5 pm and Monday one hour prior to services.
