Betty L. Cozart, 74, of Dover died Thursday, August 11, 2011 at Union Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Betty had worked as a nurse's aid at Union Hospital and several nursing homes in the area.
Born February 4, 1937 in Akron, Ohio she was a daughter of the late Oscar and Aleda Hied Krebs. Betty was also preceded in death by her husband, William Cozart Sr., on January 13, 1998 and her son, Bobby Cozart.
In her spare time, Betty enjoyed playing cards, bird watching and crafts.
A loving mother and grandmother, Betty will be sadly missed by her sons, William "Cookie" Cozart Jr. of Dover, Michael (Yvonne) Cozart of New Philadelphia and Sam (Shelly) Cozart of Wainwright; daughters, Lynn (Bud) Serri of Canton and Amy Fillman and fiancé, Mark Weinland of New Philadelphia; brother, David Krebs of California; daughter in law, Janet Cozart of Dover; 18 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Per Betty's wishes cremation will take place with a memorial service to be held on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at 1:00 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with Pastor Brian Flood officiating. Following the service a luncheon will be held in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center. Friends can call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
