Betty Mae Muzechuk

Betty Mae Muzechuk, 88, of Canton, passed away on Friday, November 29, 2019, at her home following a long period of declining health.

Betty was born in Dover on May 25, 1931. She was the daughter of the late Fred and Thelma (Stauffer) Siegenthaler. She graduated from Dover High School with the class of 1949 and was a bookkeeper for several businesses over the years.

She was a member of the Arlington Ave Church of God in Canton, where she enjoyed being part of the prayer group and helping with the church ministries. Her family and friends were extremely important to her. She also enjoyed embroidery and making quilts.

She leaves behind her daughter, and caregiver; Karen (husband, Michael) Santangelo of Canton; sisters, Marlene Siegenthaler Muzechuk of Dover, Sheila McCluney of Dover, Susan (husband, Jim) Siegenthaler McGee of New Philadelphia; and her brother, Fred (wife, Laurie) Siegenthaler of California; along with three nieces and eight nephews.

Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover. A memorial service will take place at Arlington Church of God in Canton on Sunday, December 8, 2019, at 3 pm with Pastor Webb Parsons officiating. Friends are invited to call at the church one hour prior to the service on Sunday. Following the service, a meal will be served in the church social hall.
